Subject: Bike Ride
Hi everyone. Lindy and I thought that we’d try for a bike ride on this Thursday afternoon. We will just meet at the lower level of the Senior Center at 1:15 pm. If you know anyone else that might like to come with please let them know.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, outdoor yoga is a fantastic way to enjoy nature while focusing on your inner and outer self. And the challenge of practicing on uneven surfaces helps improve your balance and stability. Let’s get moving!
The patio construction rules out the possibility of outdoor yoga at the Center this summer. We changed the location to McKee Farms Park, on the lawn near the Kids’ Crossing playground.
The six-week series runs 9:00-10:00 each Tuesday from May 23 through June 27. (The first class will be from 9:00-10:15 to allow time for explaining poses.)
All are welcome for this free series. Bring your own mat. If the day is chilly, include a sweatshirt of throw for savasana.
Free Summer Outdoor Yoga
Linda Gorchels, your guide, holds RYS 200 yoga and yin yoga certifications from Yoga Alliance. She taught two outdoor yoga series for the Fitchburg Community/Senior Center last summer.

Each year, Dane County Landfill hosts nearly a thousand visitors (of all ages) for tours of its facilities. The events offer an excellent opportunity for lessons in environmental stewardship, science, engineering, and technology. They are free, but require preregistration.

Fifteen men from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War are buried at a beautiful little cemetery on County Road M in Fitchburg. The list I have is from 2012, so there may be more veterans from current wars resting there.
Please join me at the Oak Hill Cemetery on Friday, May 26th at 10:00 A.M. to pay our respects with Memorial Day just around the corner.
Afterward we will venture down the road a couple of miles to Sugar River Pizza for lunch. Many of you know this restaurant and love it like I do. If it’s raining, you are on your own! I melt in the rain! Hope you will join me.
